cool clear crisp and refreshingly light

Yes I'm talking water.

sweet sweet water. I miss New Zealand water. Its so much nicer than the crusty lime saturated water we have here.

bleugh.

I love that word. bleugh

bleeuuughh.

it has some kind of harmless ferocity, dontcha think.
some kind of peaceful fire. Anger that is calmed somewhat.

Oh dear.

I hate and love heatwaves simultaneously. They are all at once beautiful and unbelievably uncomfortable.

The heat on your skin, the absence of cold, the need to simply sit and drink water. The stickiness, the need to stand up every two seconds for fear of your clothes sticking to your body forever and ever.

But the joy it brings. It kills those clouds of darkness and self doubt. It squashes any depression in it's tracks and just brings a sort of unity with the world. It reminds you that you are a part of this world, and you just like everybody else have the ability to melt in these temperatures. It's not a choice. It's unavoidable unity.

The worst thing is, my mother lives constantly with these temperatures, but they are prepared, they have air conditioning EVERYWHERE and they deal with it so well.
Unlike this country when any slightly abnormal weather pattern brings everything to a complete standstill, and if it's not stationary, its delayed.

Oh but the warmth. It heats you to the core. Right inside, not a cold patch to be found.
Even in the mind, yes, your entireity is warm, and blissful, and smiling.
